My name is Jeremy Hoffman. I started this company not just because I wanted to be a fishing guide but because I wanted to work with people who share my interests. The time Ive spent online I have seen a lot of websites for guides, tackle shops, hunting lodges that just immediately lose my interest. The reason is simply poor design. Ahhh... now heres where the light bulb lit. My education, combined with the wealth of knowledge I have about much of what these businesses offer, can help me achieve my goal, and help the business in the process. A win win situation. Which is why you are at this site today. Now let me give you a little bit of background on me, as an outdoorsman.

My fly fishing love began fifteen years ago. At that age I saw an ad in a local paper for a fly rod with an automatic fly reel. I loved fishing and we lived in fishermans paradise so I had to have it. My mother and I met the gentalmen who gave me the rod and a small selection of flies. At the time, I didnt know anything about what I was doing. Fortunately we had a neighbor who discussed what Spring Creek had to offer in the form of aquatic insects. Shortly there after I was buying some of the flies that hatched. At the time, my grandmother had a browning rod and she decided she was no longer interested... it became mine. I caught many fish on that old rod but I only fished dry flies. I knew nothing about how to fish nymphs. One day I observed an older gentalman catching fish after fish on nymphs. I approached him and asked him to show me what he was doing. He opened the box of nymphs and pulled out a muskrat nymph, setup my leader and showed me how to cast. In short order I was right with him catching fish after fish and I was hooked for life. Ive read a lot of books, watched a lot of videos and seeked out as much information on fly fishing as I could possibly find online. The progression led to tying flies and even designing new patterns. Some of which have been reviewed by major fly fishing companies. I tied flies at Indianapolis and joined JagFlyCo/Steelhead Alley Outfitters as a pro-staff member. Fly fishing is a constant learning experience and I am not above taking a class to learn something new. Its the little details that make the difference. I now not only fish for trout but I also fish for steelhead, bass, pike and much more with the fly rod. I own many different types of rods with different reels and different lines. They all have a spot somewhere. Fly rods, lines and reels are like owning guns. You cant buy just one, with one type of bullet for every situation.

As a child, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents and the credit for the love of the outdoors definitely goes to them. My grandfather and grandmother gave me a solid set of values that have turned into a burning desire to be outside. Never being satisfied that enough is enough, I'm always picking up a new outdoor interest. It began with fishing, progressed to fly fishing, which progressed to fly tying and so on... you get the picture. Everything I do is taken one step further. The biggest pride comes in that outside of the core values the grandparents gave me, I taught myself these things. Archery, Fly Fishing, Fly Tying, Shooting Sports, Reloading, Upland Dog Training, Camping and more. I could probably overwhelm you with pages of information I have gathered over the years but I'm not going to do that, we'll save that so we have something to talk about in person.

Outside of my love for the outdoors, my career and secondary schooling all revolves around the internet. I have worked for large companies, small companies and even on projects that generated no income what so ever. I graduated from South Hills School Of Business & Technology in 2005 with highest honors, earning an Associate Degree in Computer Science. My main focus in school was building websites and graphics but also included setting up networks and controlling servers. I built my first customers site while I was still in college. I did however need some full on business experience, I worked for a wrestling internet company, a company whose product dealt in agriculture( which I also have experience in) to a company whose software managed parts systems for large corporations, who's products some of you may own.

So as you can see, I have a broad range of knowledge with my main focus on computers and the outdoors, but I have seen many business types and models.
