Fly tying lessons are available all year long. I have been invited to tie at shows, a company carries a selection of my flies for the area and it is a passion that I truely enjoy.
I know a wide variety of patterns and any pattern which I dont tie regularly can still be demonstrated with a materials list. Cost is $25/hour regardless of group size. This means that you can have me come to your club meetings or tie with me alone. I will cover the patterns I have found to be most usefull for the area streams. You must provide your own materials and vice if this is a group session. Individual sessions can share my materials and an old vice for the first lesson only! After the first lesson you must provide your own stuff. This gives a person the ability to try out fly tying before deciding if they want to dive into it. Before attending a tying session I will contact you with a list of what you will need. You may also request certain patterns although I prefer to stay in the relm of trout/steelhead flies. Tying is only available on days which are not booked for guiding so book in advance if you have a specific date in mind. Tying sessions are limited to THREE hours maximum on a given day. Saturday and Sunday during the peak fly fishing season (Mar->Jun) are not available for tying sessions. Weekday tying sessions are only available after 6pm.
